I am a small devotee of Sai Baba for the past 30 yrs. I live in Bangalore. I want to tell about a small miracle that happened on Guru Poornima day this year.
My daughter who is 6 yrs old wears a sacred waist thread which has a small gold pipe inside which we store the umbilical cord. It is an age old tradition followed in many Hindu families. She had been wearing it since her birth and every time the thread gets a little tight, we change it. We never faced any problem with it till now.
But this time, I had changed the thread over the weekend just before Guru Purnima. 3 days later, when she returned from school, the knot had come out and the gold pipe was missing! I was in office, so my husband and my mother picked her up from the school bus. They noticed almost immediately that the thread opened up and the gold pipe fell off somewhere. More than the gold, it was a sentimental loss as it is considered to protect the child. My husband searched for it on the road where she walked from the school bus to home, it was not found. Then he called me and said he would go to the school and search there. We did not have any hopes of finding such a small piece of gold in a big school.
I sincerely prayed to baba that the day being Guru Poornima, and this gold pipe being a protection for the child, it would be really the biggest blessing if He can help us get it back.
Here is the miracle. Within 2 min of reaching the school, my husband called me that as soon as he reached the school, the coordinator came and handed this over to him! How did anyone in the school know that my husband went for this particular piece? And how did someone find such a small piece in the school? These remain unanswered!
Baba has once again proved that He is with us listening to us and blessing us every moment .
